Refunds For In-Store Purchases:
Returnable new products purchased can be returned in-store within 14 days of receipt. To keep our prices low, all new products must remain in the new condition and there must be no damage to the item or the retail packaging to be eligible for a refund. Consumable products that are open or used are non-refundable. Consumable products include batteries and incontinence supplies. Our Refurbished products can be returned within 14 days if the product is in the same condition as when it was sold including the cosmetic and mechanical aspects of the product. Refunds will be made in the same tender the item was used to purchase the item. If the item was purchased in cash, then cash will be refunded. If the item was purchased with a credit card/debit card, then the item will be refunded via your credit card/debit. Please note, while refunds are immediate, refunds made with a credit card/debit card may take 1-3 business days for your financial institution to process. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee. All in-person returns must made at the Accessibility Medical Service & Distribution Center, 6104 E Connecticut Ave, Kansas City, MO 64120.
Refunds For Online & Phone Purchases:
Returnable new products purchased can be returned within 30 days of receipt. To keep our prices low, all new products must remain in the new condition and there must be no damage to the item or the retail packaging to be eligible for a refund. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. For products received by the customer that are damaged in shipping or arrive in a significantly damaged box, the shipping cost to return the product will be waived if the consumer reports the issue within 48hrs once delivered by emailing [email protected], the consumer submits pictures of the damage and last if applicable, the serial number of the item is submitted.

Standard Warranty For Refurbished Products:
Our refurbished products have gone through a thorough inspection process followed by an in-depth methodology for sanitation. Accessibility Medical, LLC guarantees this product to be free from defects other than those outlined in the description, under normal use and conditions for a period of twenty-one (21) days from the original invoice date. If applicable, shipping and handling fees are to be paid for by the customer. Accessibility Medical, at its option during the warranty period may repair any defect in material or workmanship or to furnish a repaired or refurbished product of equal value in exchange without charge (except for a fee for shipping, handling, packing return postage, and insurance which will be incurred by the customer). Such repair or replacement is subject to verification of the defect or malfunction and proof of purchase by the receipt.
Extended Warranties With Exchange Option:
The Extended Warranties with an exchange option is only available for Refurbished Powered Wheelchairs, Scooters, Semi Electric Beds and Fully Electric Beds.
120 Day Extended Warranty With Exchange Option
Accessibility Medical, LLC offers a 120 day extended warranty with an exchange option at the time of purchase for $33.75. The extended warranty extends the terms and conditions of our standard 21-day warranty for an additional 99 days (120 days total). Please note, neither our standard warranty or extended warranty includes used batteries. The 120 Day Extended Warranty with Exchange Option also grants the purchaser the one-time option of exchanging the item within 45 days for another item that is categorically the same as the original item (e.g. powered wheelchair for another powered wheelchair, etc.) The item desired for exchange must be equal or lesser value as the original item. Also, the original item must be in the same cosmetic and mechanical condition when it was originally purchased to be eligible for exchange. The one-time exchange option fee is $29.99. No exchange option offered by Accessibility Medical Equipment, LLC includes the shipping, delivery, pickup or setup fees.
1 Year Extended Warranty With Exchange Option
Accessibility Medical, LLC also offers a one (1) year extended warranty with an exchange option for $101.25. To qualify for the one (1) year extended warranty with exchange option you must be the recipient of a loan through the State of Missouri Assistive Technology Center. The extended one (1) year warranty extends the terms and conditions of our standard twenty-one (21)-day warranty for an additional three hundred and forty-four (344) days for a total of three hundred and sixty-five (365) days. All extended warranties must be chosen when the refurbished equipment is purchased. Please note, neither our standard warranty nor extended warranties covers used batteries.
Eligible Equipment for the 1 Year Extended Warranty are limited to the following refurbished items: Powered Wheelchairs and Powered Scooters.

Warranty Policy for New Batteries:
Batteries that were in the used condition at the time of purchase do not have a warranty. Additionally, all new batteries are warrantied but are non-refundable. Accessibility Medical Equipment, LLC guarantees batteries purchased in a new condition to be free from defects under normal use and conditions for a period of three hundred and sixty (365) days from the original invoice date. All batteries are subject to proof of purchase by the receipt and verification /inspection that the item incurred no damage by abnormal conditions or by the user. During the warranty period Accessibility Medical Equipment, LLC will prorate if a battery is eligible for replacement because of defects. The customer will receive a replacement, paying the difference between the new battery purchase price and the prorated discount fee. The prorated fees and discounts for batteries are as follows: With the first month of ownership, no fee or discounts apply. From the second through the twelfth month of ownership, prorated fees and discounts increase by the value of the battery indicated on the original receipt divided by the remaining months within the 12 - month cycle. No replacement discount will be offered past the end of the twelfth month of ownership. If applicable, fees for shipping/delivery, handling, packing return postage, and insurance is the responsibility of the customer.
Product Desired To Be Refunded & Picked Up:
All items requested for pickup as part of a return, are subject to the delivery charge as defined in the Product Delivery & Donation Pickup Principle ref: 600-5. Items purchased with an Extended Warranty are excluded from pickup charges when a refund is desired for 21 days from the date of the transaction. When a product is picked up for a return, it’s subject to the same terms and conditions outlined in the Warranty For Refurbished Items, Warranty For New Items and Warranty For New Batteries. Furthermore, no refund will occur until our Service & Distribution Unit has inspected the product to ensure it’s in the same condition as to when it was purchased, this inspection will occur within 72 hours after the item has been picked up. If there is a dispute regarding the condition of the returned product, the Service & Distribution Unit shall return the product to the customer at no charge at its next available scheduled delivery however, the initial delivery fee will not be refunded. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
